Poland: Over 200 Participants and a Strong Focus on Seasonal Cooking
In Poland, the team has delivered 4 Kitchen Adventure school lessons, reaching a total of 96 students, and has hosted 10 online cooking sessions with more than 200 participants, including students and their parents.

A particular highlight has been the inclusion of vegan desserts and a strong emphasis on using local and seasonal produce, such as asparagus in spring and pumpkin in autumn. The programme has also successfully engaged families from rural areas, extending its reach beyond major urban centres.
The team is now preparing a face-to-face event on 6 December, featuring hands-on gingerbread-baking workshops, live cooking of vegan holiday dishes, and educational games and activities for both children and parents.

Bulgaria: Diversity, Engagement and a Strong Educational Commitment
In Bulgaria, the Kitchen Adventure project has been progressing very actively throughout 2025. So far, approximately 160 families have registered to take part in the online cooking sessions, and the team has already delivered 10 lesson plan workshops in schools across the country, with 3 more scheduled in the coming weeks—reaching more than 240 students in total.
The cooking sessions are already underway, and the programme is expected to reach 16 sessions by the end of the year.

A special highlight of the Bulgarian implementation is the diversity of participants: students aged 7 to 14, families from both public and private schools, and communities with varied socioeconomic backgrounds, including schools working predominantly with Roma youngsters, are all coming together to learn, cook, and explore healthy and sustainable food.
The team is also preparing an in-person event on 6 December in Sofia, where children and their parents will bake plant-based Christmas cookies together.
Spain: Hands-On Learning, Inclusion, and Strong Family Participation
In Spain, the Kitchen Adventure project has delivered 7 lesson plan sessions, which have been put into practice through 12 cooking workshops involving a total of 169 families. Throughout 2025, the recipe collection has continued to grow, featuring comforting warm dishes, refreshing salads, and delicious desserts prepared collaboratively during the sessions.

A major highlight of the Spanish implementation has been the organisation of two face-to-face events in Málaga, held in collaboration with CEIP Prácticas Nº1, a multicultural public primary school known for its inclusive approach. These events brought together students from diverse national backgrounds, creating a unique environment for cultural exchange around food.
During the most recent event, children engaged in hands-on cooking activities, learned the basics of nutrition through interactive games, and prepared healthy dishes with seasonal ingredients. Families had the opportunity to work together, strengthening intergenerational learning and reinforcing the project’s core message: that healthy and sustainable eating can be accessible, fun, and shared.
Hungary: Reaching schools that have never participated in food literacy programmes before
In Hungary the programme could reach schools that have never participated in any types of food literacy programmes before. Altogether 149 students were taught lesson plans that were created by the team and 22 online cooking events were organised reaching altogether 426 participants.

The cooking events were a resounding success with all types of family members participating (sometimes even, family pets!) The classmates enjoyed cooking together via Zoom, cheering each other at the beginning and end of each session. The recipes created by the Hungarian chef, Zsuzsi were received very well, with (of course) banana bread and sweet millet dessert cream being the all-time favorites. With the latter, the programme managed to introduce a "forgotten crop", millet in a new way of consuming - in a wonderful dessert that would charm not only the lactose-intolerants, but all who are looking for something sweet and healthy.
